Open source · Local first · Provider neutral

Your fitness history is more than a ZIP.

Turn the data you can download into a history you can search, understand, compare, annotate and carry with you—without handing it to another platform.

01 · WHY

Downloading your data is a right. Using it should be a reality.

A machine-readable archive satisfies access better than it satisfies understanding. FitFreed exists to make a portable history genuinely useful: transparent transformations, durable local storage, open formats and an application no provider can switch off.

GDPR-enabled portability + open-source software = meaningful user freedom

Training first. Evidence always.

Start with a question. Go as deep as the data allows.

Questions and recognizable sessions lead the experience. Metrics, health context and provider diagnostics support the answer instead of competing for the first viewport.

01

How has my training changed?

Compare periods while keeping active days, exact sessions, coverage and gaps visible.

02

Where is that session I remember?

Browse by sport, chronology, route and available measurements across the whole history.

03

What happened inside it?

Inspect structure, signals, route and exact values without mistaking a chart for evidence.

FROM SESSION TO EVIDENCE

The average is only the beginning.

Source laps, FitFreed-derived segments and your own criteria remain visibly different. When the provider recorded no useful phases, define equal time, equal distance, zones or manual boundaries without changing the imported record.

  • Recorded facts keep their source and exact values.
  • Missing measurements stay unavailable, never zero.
  • Every visual has an accessible exact alternative.

Own the result, too.

Build a report, not a screenshot.

Begin from an answer or session, arrange evidence and exact values, add your own interpretation, save the definition and reopen it after the history changes.

  1. Compose recorded facts, calculations, coverage and your words.
  2. Review what a later import changes before refreshing.
  3. Export a self-contained result after checking sensitive content.

Freedom needs architecture.

Private by default. Inspectable by design. Portable by contract.

Local first

Core use works without a FitFreed account or mandatory hosted service.

Explainable

Source facts, mappings, calculations, gaps and unsupported content remain inspectable.

Portable again

Versioned open formats, backups and exports prevent replacement lock-in.

Open source

GPL-3.0-or-later code lets a community audit, repair and extend the product.

Ambitious, without pretending.

What exists, what comes next, and what can wait.

No roadmap capability is marketed as a released feature.

The public macOS release still requires exact-candidate evaluation, production trust and explicit publication. See the readiness ledger.

A project without collaborators has an expiry date.

Help make personal fitness history genuinely free.

Import formats, domain modeling, accessible visualization, Rust, React, testing, documentation, translation and product design all have a durable home here.

The record is yours.
The tools should be, too.
